Technology

The right connection for your home.

Behind a simple experience are devices with different ways of communicating. Synova adapts the connection to the available integrations, without requiring the same solution in every home.

Technology serves your home. And your routine.

Synova adapts to your home.
Not the other way round.

Your home’s devices and integrations determine whether Direct, Hub or a combination makes sense.

Synova Direct

Simple when it can be simple.

For equipment that supports secure remote integration, Synova can work without additional hardware at home.

Synova Hub

More possibilities when you need them.

Synova Hub integrates equipment that only offers local communication, creating a secure bridge for remote access.

Not every home needs a Hub.

The choice depends on your home's equipment and integrations.

Behind the scenes, plenty of technology

On the surface,
just your home.

What matters in the connection.

  • Device integration

Each integration provides the controls and states that can be used in Synova. These resources determine what can be brought together in your home's experience.

  • Protected communication

Connections and authorisations depend on the integration. Manufacturer accounts and required permissions are considered during configuration; we do not present a universal security certification.

  • Local and remote connections

Local communication connects to equipment on your home network. Remote access reaches the integration from outside your home. How these combine depends on the equipment and configuration.

  • Room to evolve

New equipment can be assessed as your needs change. Adding devices or features depends on available integrations, without a promise of future compatibility.

Keep it simple. Avoid assumptions.

Are Direct and Hub two service tiers?

They are connection methods suited to different integrations. Hub is not a mandatory premium version. A home may use Direct, Hub or a combination, depending on the equipment.

Does local communication mean everything works without internet?

No. A local connection to a device does not, on its own, confirm offline operation of the complete solution. Network and service dependencies need to be assessed for each integration.

Do automations run on the Hub?

We do not assume local automation execution. Availability and the way each scene or automation runs need to be confirmed in the product and integrations used.

Can I control every device away from home?

Remote access depends on features provided by the integration and on configuration. It is not guaranteed for every device; we confirm what is possible in your solution.
